Boat license
The Ferrario Nautica construction site organizes courses for nautical license within 12 miles for motor and sailing boats.
The courses, at our Dormelletto Nautical School, are held by highly qualified and organized teachers in order to offer the possibility to those who are busy during the week of being able to follow full-immersion days on Saturday and thus being able to get ready To the final exam thus guaranteeing the possibility for an increasing number of students to pass the exam with a positive outcome. For those who could not on Saturday, we also organize a course for the achievement of the nautical license during the week in the afternoon or evening.
The pleasure boating license is necessary to conduct boats or boats beyond 6 miles from the coast, to use boats with engines over 40 HP of power, to perform water skiing and to conduct a water motion.
Nautical license within 12 miles

The registration fee includes:
- Enrollment in the motor boat license course (also online), payment of taxes and stamps;
- 4 full-immersion theory lessons on Saturday afternoon for a total of 12 hours at our headquarters in Dormelletto (NO) with pre-exam review;
- Correspondence lesson;
- Didactic material (book, correspondence kit, nautical chart, etc.);
- Carrying out ministerial quizzes during the lessons and simulation of the exam test;
- An excursion by motor boat, practical lesson including maneuvers and navigation;
- Smartphone app for nautical license quiz (on request);
- Registration for the exam at the Novara motor vehicle;
- Practical exam on site;
- Assistance and tutoring during the exam days;
- If the exam fails, we give the opportunity to follow the next course for free;

Courses and exams calendar
Our nautical school, with thirty years of experience, organizes monthly courses for nautical license within 12 miles for motor and sailing.
We also give our members the opportunity to attend additional theoretical and practical strengthening lessons.
The exams are held on site and are held monthly, in order to give everyone the opportunity to participate in the most comfortable exam session.

It is possible to obtain a nautical license valid for motor boats. We also organize sailing license courses. The theoretical lessons of our nautical school will take place for 4 consecutive Saturdays in full-immersion mode or with personalized schedule during the week and also online and will cover the same topics for both the motor and sailing license.
During the nautical school lessons all the exam topics will be fully explained and students are given the opportunity to take the ministerial quizzes in the classroom. In addition, a correspondence lesson will be held with exercises during the lesson. During the last lesson there will be a pre-exam review.
The exam can be taken one month after the acceptance of the application for enrollment in the course.
The theoretical exam consists of a cross quiz with 20 questions and three possible answers where only one answer is correct. The exam is considered passed up to 3 errors, with the possibility of being able to do it again without additional costs once, after at least one month from the first attempt.
The passage of the theoretical exam gives access to the practical exam that will take place on a motor or sailing boat (depending on the type of license), at our headquarters in Dormelletto. The exam consists in carrying out the main maneuvers for the management of the boat which will be extensively tested during the practical lesson.
In case of a rejection of the practical exam, the theoretical part will be kept valid and it will be possible to do it a second time without additional costs, also in this case at least one month after the first attempt.
In case of two failures of the theoretical exam (with 4 or more errors) or a second failure of the practical exam, the exam practices must be resubmitted with additional costs.
If the second attempt is also unsuccessful, we give you the opportunity to follow the next course for free.
The license is handed over immediately upon passing the practical exam.
